What's the best time of day to take the tour?
Every hour has its own charm, whether it's the morning mist or the orange light at the end of the day. However, if you want to visit the Habitation when it's least crowded, we recommend the gentle end of the day. 🌅 Ideal for finishing off the day with a sunset on the beach.
Was the house ever inhabited? Is it authentic?
Yes, it's a typical, traditional island house.
What are the advantages of subscription?
Free annual access to all events organized at l'Habitation, quick check-in at the reception desk and early invitations to all events.
I bought a ticket online but I haven't received it, what should I do?
In this case, please call us :) or follow the procedure below: When your online purchase is complete, you will receive an email inviting you to download your tickets from your customer area. If you don't see it in your inbox, check that it hasn't arrived in your spam folder. In all cases, you can retrieve the tickets you ordered by clicking on "lost ticket" in our ticket office and following the procedure.
Is it possible to pay by: dollars, vacation vouchers, credit card, American Express card?
Credit cards, cash, vacation vouchers, dollars, cheques.
How long are tickets valid?
The ticket is valid for 1 day, you have 3 months to use your ticket and the annual pass is valid for 1 year from the date of purchase.
Do I need to print them out or is the digital version sufficient?
The online version is all you need, as long as you can read the barcode. There's no need to print the #protectourforests vest.
Is the tour feasible in rainy weather?
Yes, it does rain, as we're in the neo-tropical zone. The visit remains feasible and practicable.
Is smoking allowed in the park?
No, smoking is prohibited for safety reasons.
Is there a rate for jobseekers?
No, but we invite you to visit the ticketing section of our website to take advantage of our special rates.
Are there guided tours?
Occasionally, follow us on social networks to keep up to date with the events we organize.
Are there mosquitoes in the park?
We're in an open neo-tropical zone, so this can happen. However, we do our utmost to keep mosquitoes to a minimum using natural, local methods.
Is the park accessible to people with reduced mobility?
The course is accessible to people with reduced mobility, but if you have any particular difficulty, please do not hesitate to contact our team.
Is the park accessible with a stroller?
The entire route is accessible to baby carriages.
Are the products sold in the store made in Guadeloupe?
We work hand in hand with local artists and craftsmen, and always have. And to satisfy every budget, we have products from here and abroad.

Yes, the entire site is accessible to senior citizens. If you have any particular difficulty, please call us and our hostesses will be happy to advise you.

Pets are strictly forbidden for reasons of health and comfort for other visitors.

Children are welcome, but some activities are reserved for certain age groups. In all cases, minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Is it allowed for professionals to shoot films?
While we're delighted to see photos of our charming visitors, professional photo shoots and films are strictly regulated and must be covered by a contract. Please contact us by email for any such request.
Is picnicking allowed?
Yes, picnics are permitted in the park. Tables and seats are provided. Please keep the site clean after your visit. Garbage cans are available on site.
Does the home sell wood?
